Work Schedule
Hours for this position are flexible in that, this position requires working until closing (5:00pm) on days that the supervisor is off. Otherwise, the schedule will be Monday -Thursday, 9:00am -3:30pm and on Friday, 9:00 am – 2:30pm.

Patrick & Henry Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution committed to student success, lifelong learning, and enrichment of the quality of life in the region it serves. Serving Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, and the southern portion of Franklin County, P&HCC is a comprehensive open-door institution, accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree. Patrick & Henry offers 29 associate degree programs, 12 certificate programs and 38 career studies certificate programs. The college also delivers a variety of nontraditional programs such as customized workforce development training, industry-recognized certifications, developmental and transitional programs, and courses for personal enrichment.

Purpose of Position:
The Administrative and Office Specialist II will oversee all technical processing of cataloged materials and insure that materials are made shelf-ready according to established library standards. This person will also organize and shelve library materials, assist at the circulation desk; create displays, provide brief, routine reference consultation, work on Interlibrary Loans, use LibAnswers to monitor those needing online help, complete inventory, and perform various clerical tasks as required.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
This person in this position must be able to communicate clearly with patrons, faculty, staff, and supervisors;
Must be able to follow library policies and procedures;
Must be able to work with general office software applications and with library specific programs; must be able to process library materials according to established standards.
