Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality behavioral therapy and support to children with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children reach their full potential through evidence-based practices, including applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, behaviors, and skill acquisition to inform treatment adjustments
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence
- Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication, social skills, and behavioral management strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and goals
- Monitor client safety during sessions and adhere to all health and safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques
Skills
- Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Strong understanding of medical records management, care plans, and medical documentation standards
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions for progress tracking
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with children and families
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and family members
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively in diverse settings
