Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality behavioral therapy and support to children with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children reach their full potential through evidence-based practices, including applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
  • Collect and analyze data on client progress, behaviors, and skill acquisition to inform treatment adjustments
  • Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence
  • Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication, social skills, and behavioral management strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and goals
  • Monitor client safety during sessions and adhere to all health and safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques

Skills

  • Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Strong understanding of medical records management, care plans, and medical documentation standards
  • Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions for progress tracking
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
  • Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with children and families
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and family members
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively in diverse settings
