Position Overview
World Youth Foundation is seeking motivated instructors and facilitators to lead structured after-school programming for middle and high school students at Aldine ISD campuses. This role is ideal for college students, educators, and workforce professionals who enjoy mentoring youth and facilitating skill-building experiences.
This is a temporary, project-based independent contractor role supporting a defined after-school program cycle.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate engaging, in-person after-school sessions using provided curriculum frameworks
- Lead activities focused on:
- Academic support and tutoring
- Career exploration and workforce readiness
- Creative writing, literacy, leadership, and life skills
- Hands-on enrichment activities
- Set up instructional materials prior to sessions and complete cleanup afterward
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Support positive student behavior using established program and campus procedures
- Track attendance and communicate updates or concerns to program leadership
- Follow all Aldine ISD campus protocols related to safety, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Participate in required paid staff training and campus walkthroughs

Schedule & Time Commitment
- Program days: Tuesdays and/or Thursdays (after school)
- Session length: 1.5 hours per day.
- Additional paid hours for staff training and site walkthroughs
- Contractors may work at one or multiple campuses based on availability
Compensation
- $75 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement for travel to assigned campuses (per program policy)
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance
- No employee benefits provided
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience working with youth, groups, or teams (formal or informal)
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage small groups (up to 15 students)
- Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
- Comfortable working independently within a structured program model
Compliance Requirements
All contractors must:
- Pass a background check
- Complete the Texas Education Agency Pre-Service Affidavit
- Not appear on the TEA Service Provider Registry
- Follow Aldine ISD policies related to safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct
