Dishwasher/Food Prep

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while supporting food preparation and service operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, food handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in restaurant, catering, or hotel settings is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food service environment.

Duties

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support kitchen operations
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas during service hours
• Help with basic catering setup and cleanup for events or banquets as needed
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
• Support the culinary team with general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Skills

• Experience or familiarity with food service, including restaurant or hotel environments preferred
• Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, or portioning ingredients
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining work areas
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
• Prior experience with catering, banquet service, or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills within the hospitality industry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
