Lead Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves managing medication preparation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and supporting pharmacy staff to provide accurate and timely medication dispensing. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency within our pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and safety standard
• Assist with medication intake, verification, and documentation processes
• Support patient service initiatives by providing accurate medication information and guidance
• Coordinate with healthcare providers on medication administration and patient care plans
• Train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technician staff to promote professional development
• Maintain inventory control, ensuring proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals
• Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and documentation requirements in all pharmacy activities

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician with a strong background in LTC pharmacy
• Demonstrated expertise in patient service, medication administration, and medical terminology
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Pharmacy Technician or similar role is desirable
• Knowledge of intake procedures and familiarity with LTC pharmacy operations are essential for success in this position
