Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote health and well-being.
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe environment and engaging activities to stimulate cognitive function.
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment that meets health standards.
- Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members about patient progress or concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care.
- Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance, and medication administration protocols.
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly.
- Need to be an IHSS provider
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients who have developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other special needs.
- Experience working with diverse populations including hospice care recipients or those requiring memory or Alzheimer's care.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team to develop and follow personalized care plans.
- Flexibility to adapt to different environments such as home care settings or long-term facilities while maintaining professionalism and compassion at all times.
