Job Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations and ensures all areas of the Club are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. This role includes assigning tasks, inspecting completed work, and supporting staff in routine and detailed cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing facilities. The supervisor promotes organization, safety, and a clean, welcoming environment for Members, guests, and team members.

Essential Functions

  • Provide professional, friendly interaction with Members and guests, modeling excellent customer service for the housekeeping team.
  • Oversee and ensure completion of the daily cleaning schedule.
  • Assign and assist with cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout the Club.
  • Coordinate and participate in scheduled deep-cleaning projects.
  • Ensure restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Assist with and oversee laundry processes as needed.
  • Monitor trash removal procedures and ensure receptacles are emptied, cleaned, and sanitized.
  • Oversee polishing of silver accessories, fixtures, and metalwork.
  • Ensure storage areas and carts remain well-stocked, clean, and organized.
  • Inspect and assist with cleaning and polishing of furniture and fixtures.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of Fitness area and Fitness restrooms.
  • Oversee proper cleaning of rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies.
  • Ensure regular dusting of furniture, walls, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions following established specifications.
  • Train staff on correct use of chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent property damage.
  • Ensure debris is removed from driveways and all public areas inside and outside the Club.
  • Oversee proper cleaning of windows and mirrors.
  • Report facility repair needs to management and ensure staff communicates issues promptly.
  • Enforce safety and security procedures to protect Club and guest property; report damage, theft, or found items.
  • Assist Members and guests with questions regarding Club amenities, dining, and events.
  • Communicate clearly, demonstrate active listening, and ensure appropriate responses to Member and guest requests.
  • Maintain and monitor organization and cleanliness of all housekeeping work areas.
  • Ensure lost and found items are promptly turned in to the front desk.
  • Perform all other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, with supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to exercise strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build effective relationships with Members, guests, staff, and management required.
  • Ability to read and write to correctly identify cleaning chemicals, follow safety procedures, and complete documentation required.
  • Ability to create, foster, and maintain a positive, team-oriented environment required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and listening skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a service-focused mindset required.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to lead staff during emergencies required.
  • Strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills preferred.
  • Ability to work a varying schedule based on the Clubs' needs required. This schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
