Location: Sunnyvale, CA (100% Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our Vision Equipment team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy high-precision mechanical test and calibration equipment used for optical and imaging products—including endoscopes, fiber-optic light sources, and near-eye display systems. This position requires strong mechanical engineering skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and continuously improve mechanical test and calibration equipment for high-performance optical and imaging systems.
• Execute full lifecycle mechanical development: design, specification, prototyping, documentation, procurement, assembly, qualification, and implementation.
• Collaborate with product development, process engineering, and test software teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure robust, reliable, and repeatable equipment performance.
• Create thorough documentation, including equipment specifications, validation protocols, assembly instructions, preventive maintenance, calibration procedures, and CAD drawings.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to measurement accuracy, reliability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities for mid-volume manufacturing environments.
