Our client is an asset management firm. They seek a Portfolio Risk, Operations Associate to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Upload and review data in internal marketing systems while producing periodic reports and generating quarterly materials for various departments
  • Perform monthly performance checks for mutual funds and UCITS, validating data sets and coordinating with departments to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain internal dashboards and reporting tools by ensuring timely updates and identifying inconsistencies
  • Oversee mapping files for custom analytics and utilize FactSet Portfolio Services to identify missing or incorrect classifications
  • Administer the team's intranet page and track incoming requests to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Coordinate and manage team calendars, schedule meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, and resolve conflicts
  • Prepare agendas, distribute materials before internal meetings, and capture clear notes to ensure timely follow-up and task completion
  • Support onboarding of new team members by facilitating system access, tools, and training materials
  • Streamline administrative workflows by improving processes, developing SOPs, monitoring task progress, and flagging potential delays or resource constraints
  • Liaise with cross-department partners to enable smooth operational initiatives, coordinate logistics for team events, and troubleshoot basic issues before escalation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, finance, or statistics
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Financial services industry required
  • Knowledgeable in financial markets and the investment management industry
  • Experience with Brinson two-factor attribution methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with FactSet PA and/or Bloomberg
