Pepperrell Cove is a premier historic waterfront destination consisting of 4 distinct business concepts. Our property includes: Bistro 1828 & Ski Club: Our year-round restaurant offering refined indoor dining and a cozy bar atmosphere. Frisbee's Wharf: A high-volume, seasonal outdoor seafood destination (May–October). The View: A stunning, two-story dedicated event space hosting weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties. Provisions: Our market-style store serving breakfast and lunch take out, featuring curated merchandise and local goods.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the guest experience across our entire property, ensuring operational efficiency and high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a diverse staff. Implement training programs and enforce policy guidelines to ensure a professional and accountable work culture.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations across multiple locations, including outdoor seasonal dining, year-round indoor service, seasonal store, and event space.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor sales trends, labor costs and costs of goods sold.
  • Beverage & Inventory: Supervise the Bar Manager to oversee liquor, beer, and wine programs, including ordering and supply management. Conduct monthly inventory for both FOH and BOH.
  • Service Coordination: Supervise the FOH manager to oversee service standards and training at the Bistro and Frisbee's Wharf. Partner closely with the BOH team to ensure seamless service, food quality, and consistency across all outlets.
  • Retail & Market Oversight: Ensure Provisions standards for food quality, merchandising, and customer service are in place.
  • Compliance: Ensure all restaurants' safety, sanitation, and health standards are strictly met.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience of restaurant management in a high-volume or multi-unit setting. 5 years' experience as a General Manager preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word, scheduling app (7shifts), reservation app (RESY) and POS software (Toast) or equivalent experience.
  • Service Knowledge: Strong background in both casual, fine dining, and wine service standards.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requirements: Valid Driver's License and ability to relocate or travel to Kittery Point, ME prior to starting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85, $95,000.00 per year
