Job Summary

FSW&B CPAs PLLC is seeking a motivated individual to fill a professional role in our Stillwater office. Depending on the skills and experience of the individual, they would likely be involved in a variety of roles in our different practice segments which could including which consist of full charge bookkeeping (write-up), payroll and compliance work. This position could include income tax preparation and planning but that component is not required for the position. We anticipate this position being able to advance their skills and compensation over time as they are able to take a more responsible role in the office.

Our immediate need is to have an experienced accounting professional that can quickly take on full charge engagements for our clients which may include source data entry, adjusting entries, and/or payables processing and preparation of periodic financial statements under Standards for Preparation, Compilation and Review Services as promulgated by the AICPA. However, we will consider entry level personnel with high aptitude and a committment to continue their skill and experience level.

This position would also likely be assigned to clients who operate their own accounting and reporting system but need occasional or periodic help cleaning those entries up and getting them ready for extended services including advanced tax planning and preparation. We anticipate that this position could also be involved in consulting with our clients on accounting system design and setup as well as functioning in a critical support role for both our clients and our professional staff. Experience and high proficiency with Quickbooks is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete data entry into accounting systems
  • High level of analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling of accounts
  • Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Ability to effectively communicate with our clients and other firm associates
  • Desire to improve their accounting and bookkeeping skills over time to take on increasing responsible engagements.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional presentation and personal appearance in a smaller, more casual business environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting is required.
  • CPA or CPA eligible is highly preferred.
  • Experience with computerized tax software and trial balance/audit software preferred but not required.
  • Experience and proficiency with Quickbooks is highly preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new responsibilities and advance skill sets

Pay: $45, $70,000.00 per year
