Join Our Team as a Pipefitter!

Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun (On-site, with a requirement to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow)

Salary: £38,662.00 (plus a potential shift allowance of 33%)

Your Role:

As a Pipefitter, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:

  • Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials such as copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes, ensuring precise installation.
  • Installing essential utilities aboard ships, including sinks, showers, and toilets.
  • Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborating with other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate records of your work.
Your Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (required upon application) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Current knowledge and experience in pipe manufacture, installation, and associated equipment.
  • Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Clear understanding of SHE , COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within an industrial or commercial environment.

Desirable:

  • Marine Pipefitting experience.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.
