Join Our Team as a Systems Engineer – DASS / Electronic Warfare!

Salary: Starting at £54,793+, depending on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead Interface: Act as the focal point for BAE Systems DASS team activities, supporting the introduction of a new Electronic Warfare system.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, both within BAE Systems and internationally, to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Program Management: Develop and maintain the development program plan while supporting business management activities and cost challenges.
  • Technical Understanding: Cultivate a deep understanding of DASS (Typhoon and the wider landscape) and its integration into the broader program context.
  • Support Engineering Management: Assist the DASS engineering manager in addressing emergent technical issues and new requirements.
Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience in an aircraft engineering project or related field.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to a variety of stakeholders, from strategic overviews to technical details.
  • Strong understanding of Defensive Aids Sub-system (DASS), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Sensors, along with their integration into weapon systems.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues impacting programs, escalating as necessary.
  • Eligibility for clearance up to SECRET on UK national and multi-national programs.

The Typhoon DASS Team:

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the introduction of a new Electronic Warfare solution into the Typhoon DASS. You will work closely with a small, high-performing team of engineers and collaborate with subject matter experts, both internally and externally, to enhance Typhoon DASS capabilities.
