The Studio Graphic Designer sits within Loungers’ in‑house creative agency, supporting multiple brands, teams and projects across the business. This is a hands‑on design role focused on high‑quality execution, technical accuracy and pace - ensuring creative ideas are brought to life consistently and effectively across digital, print and motion.
This is a hybrid role based in our Bristol HQ 4 days a week and 1 day working from home.
Working closely with brand, marketing, community, operations and external partners, the role is responsible for translating briefs into polished, on‑brand creative, often at speed and across multiple outputs. While brand strategy is owned elsewhere, this role plays a critical part in protecting brand quality through strong craft, attention to detail and disciplined delivery.
This is a brand‑agnostic role, designed to strengthen the studio’s technical capability and capacity, and to operate as part of a collaborative internal agency rather than a single‑brand design function.
Key Responsibilities: Creative Execution & Craft
Deliver high‑quality design across digital, print and in‑venue touchpoints, including campaign assets, POS, CRM, social, menus, presentations and internal communications.
Translate creative direction and briefs into accurate, well‑crafted outputs that reflect each brand’s tone, visual identity and standards.
Apply strong technical design skills, particularly in Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and the wider Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring work is production‑ready and fit for purpose.
Support motion or animated outputs where required (CapCut, After Effects or equivalent), bringing simple movement and energy to digital assets.
Maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all outputs, even under tight timelines.
Briefing, Workflow & Delivery
Work from clear briefs, taking responsibility for reading, interpreting and clarifying requirements before design begins.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, deadlines and feedback without compromising quality.
Work closely with the wider studio team to plan workloads, flag risks early and keep projects moving at pace.
Respond constructively to creative critique, using feedback to improve work rather than defend it.
Ensure final artwork is correctly supplied for its intended channel, including digital specs, print formats and platform requirements.
Collaboration & Internal Agency Mindset
Operate as part of an internal creative agency, supporting multiple stakeholders and brands with a service‑led mindset.
Collaborate effectively with brand, marketing, community and operations teams to understand context and objectives.
Support more junior team members where appropriate, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
Build strong working relationships across the business, balancing approachability with professional rigour.
Tools, Systems & Ways of Working
Use Adobe Creative Suite confidently, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
Work comfortably with supporting tools such as Canva, CapCut or presentation software where required.
Manage work through project management tools such as Asana, keeping tasks and deadlines up to date.
Stay curious about new tools and techniques, including creative AI, and apply them pragmatically where they improve speed or quality.
Skills & Experience: Essential
Proven experience in a design role, either in‑house or agency (typically 2+ years for junior / 5+ years for mid‑weight).
Strong technical capability across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
Confidence delivering both digital and print assets, with an understanding of how design translates across formats.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work to tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
Comfortable receiving and applying feedback within a creative hierarchy.
Desirable
Experience working in hospitality, retail or multi‑brand environments.
Basic motion or animation experience (After Effects, CapCut or similar).
Understanding of print production processes, from artwork to finishing.
Awareness of CRM or email platforms (e.g. Airship, Mailchimp).
Experience supporting photoshoots or working with photography assets.
Familiarity with creative AI tools and how they can support design workflows.
Behaviours & Attributes
Detail‑driven and disciplined in execution.
Positive, enthusiastic and resilient in a fast‑moving environment.
Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Open to learning, feedback and skill development.
Proud of craft, but pragmatic about delivery.
Success in This Role Looks Like
Creative output is consistently high quality, accurate and on brand.
Projects move quickly, with minimal rework caused by avoidable errors.
Stakeholders trust the studio to deliver at pace and with professionalism.
The studio’s technical capability is strengthened, not diluted.
The internal agency model feels efficient, collaborative and dependable.
