Step into an exciting opportunity with our newly formed Mechanical Engineering team in Coventry! Your mission? To deliver essential ship services, crew life support capabilities, and cutting-edge equipment for the current and next generation of Nuclear Submarines. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the design and development of critical systems for the SSN AUKUS.

• Lead the development of various mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and components.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure equipment and component specifications meet challenging demands.
• Collaborate directly with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios and design considerations.
• Take the lead in performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analyses to demonstrate system performance.
• Coordinate and manage a diverse stakeholder base to solve complex engineering problems and make informed decisions.

Essential:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, particularly in Rotating Machinery, Components, or Fluid Dynamics.
• Proven experience in applying mechanical engineering across various products and stages of the product lifecycle.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team.
• A passion for problem-solving and tackling complex engineering challenges.
• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.

Desirable:

• Experience in Leadership or Mentoring.
