Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Denver, Colorado facility. This role is essential for ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management best practices, a meticulous approach to data entry, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and improve accuracy. This is a key position in our warehouse, directly impacting our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, aging, and turnover.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage and damage.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
  • Track and manage the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper put-away and picking processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to lifting guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for inventory management and logistics.
  • Generate reports on key inventory metrics for management review.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing required PPE.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
