We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role involves the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, ensuring they are documented, inspected, and stored correctly. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory, playing a vital role in our supply chain and logistics operations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount to maintaining inventory integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all received goods accurately in the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage received items for put-away into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics .
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
