Our Sacramento, California distribution center is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, accuracy, and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move palletized goods throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Perform routine checks on the forklift to ensure proper operation and Safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as picking, packing, and shipping as needed to support logistics operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies immediately.
- Strict adherence to all company Safety guidelines and mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties.
- Requires the ability to perform occasional manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including occasional manual Lifting and operating machinery.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and logistics principles is a plus.
