Join our team as an Order Picker in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and become an essential part of our logistics and distribution network. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering products from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role demands precision, speed, and a commitment to safety in a dynamic warehouse setting. Your ability to work diligently and accurately directly contributes to our operational success and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all orders are processed correctly and on time. We are looking for individuals who are reliable and eager to contribute to our warehouse efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse locations based on order specifications using handheld scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Stage picked items for packing and subsequent shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area according to established procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
- Must be able to perform regular Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Enthusiasm for working in a logistics environment.
- Willingness to wear required safety gear and follow all PPE protocols.
