We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in San Francisco, California. The ideal candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company policies. This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing warehouse processes, improving productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment for all staff. Your ability to motivate and guide your team will be key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution of all products.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations and workflow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Enforce all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in good working order.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain flow.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse productivity.
- Must be able to oversee operations involving significant Lifting of goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Solid understanding of warehouse management procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
