Job Summary:
Our Jacksonville, Florida distribution center is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our stock. This pivotal role involves managing inventory systems, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to maintain optimal stock levels. You will play a key part in streamlining our logistics processes by providing accurate inventory data. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. You will work collaboratively with various departments to identify and implement improvements in inventory management. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and recommend adjustments.
  • Manage the disposition of damaged, obsolete, or returned inventory.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory to prevent loss or damage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to support logistics and management decisions.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain best practices.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety procedures, including PPE usage.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
