In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods into our warehouse. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying order details against received products, inspecting for damage, and properly stocking items. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth flow of materials within our supply chain. Safety is paramount, and you will receive comprehensive training on all safety procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Accurately count and verify all items received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects and report discrepancies.
- Label and tag received items for inventory tracking.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and storage areas.
- Operate material handling equipment safely as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other warehouse tasks.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks.
