Our busy distribution center in Chicago, Illinois, is looking for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods. In this critical role within our logistics operations, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments and the final checkpoint for outgoing orders. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying the accuracy of incoming inventory against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and securely loading outgoing shipments. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records, organizing warehouse space for efficient flow, and ensuring all procedures are followed to maintain inventory integrity. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify incoming inventory against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Load outbound trucks efficiently and securely.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the receiving and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics documentation and processes.
- Knowledge of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and sturdy footwear.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This role requires strict adherence to all Safety guidelines, including safe material handling, proper use of equipment, and wearing appropriate PPE. Comprehensive training on Safety procedures for shipping and receiving operations is provided.
