We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Austin, Texas facility. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented and processed. This position is critical to our warehouse operations and Logistics chain, guaranteeing that inventory is accounted for from the moment it arrives. You will inspect shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and ensure materials are safely stored. A strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are paramount. If you are meticulous and enjoy working in a structured environment, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Properly use any necessary equipment for receiving, such as pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods into the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Understanding of basic Logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting of items up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
