Join our energetic, family-centered pediatric clinic as a Lead Speech-Language Pathologist at our new clinic opening in Lake Highlands, Dallas At Oaklin Lane, we provide high-quality, play-based care to children with a wide range of communication needs — all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
This is a leadership-focused role ideal for an experienced SLP who loves pediatric treatment and is excited to build and grow a speech program through mentorship, collaboration, and team development. As the lead SLP, you'll work with and guide a tight-knit team of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) — supporting their clinical work, collaborating on treatment planning, and ensuring every child receives individualized, evidence-based care.
With a Monday–Thursday clinic schedule and protected time for mentorship and collaboration, this role keeps you hands-on with kids while shaping the direction of speech services and contributing meaningfully to the growth of our speech therapy program. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of four SLPAs in a collaborative, interdisciplinary clinic setting
- Provide regular mentorship, feedback, and support to assistants to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
- Guide treatment planning and goal development for all speech therapy patients
- Review and co-sign documentation completed by assistants; ensure clinical notes meet compliance and quality standards
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches in collaboration with the assistant team
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate care with OT and PT
- Foster a team culture focused on learning, mutual support, and clinical excellence
- Maintain organized systems for scheduling, assistant supervision logs, and documentation review
- Stay current on best practices and new developments in pediatric occupational therapy
- Help shape and refine clinical processes as part of a growing organization with career advancement opportunities
Required Skills
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience (supervisory or mentorship experience strongly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language, and pragmatic skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Comfortable using EMR systems and reviewing documentation for clinical accuracy and compliance
- Passion for developing others and supporting a growing therapy practice
- Ability to foster a positive, team-first culture aligned with Oaklin Lane's values
