Basic Job Function
This position will supervise the staff that is responsible for maintaining pool facilities at various Sea Island facilities as well as private Sea Island Homes. This position will be responsible for cleaning, balancing chemicals and repairing equipment as needed. This position will also be responsible to maintain and inventory and work within the guidelines of the Glynn County Health Department as well as all MSDS restrictions.

Use of Company Vehicle:
Must be approved to drive a company vehicle

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum (3) years experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent credentials
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be confident with supervising staff
  • Must have a CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
  • Must be familiar with the working of pool systems and chemicals
  • Must be familiar with codes set by The Glynn County Health Department and work as a liaison between Sea Island and the Health Department
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Certification within 60 days of employment
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License
  • Company policy requires that one must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review
  • Must have a favorable driving history.
  • Must have ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations

Tasks/Responsibilities

  • This position will supervise and assist a team to chemically maintain and clean pools that are owned and operated by Sea Island.
  • Must maintain the chemical balance and cleanliness as mandated by the Glynn County Health Department and Sea Island.
  • Supervise a crew of up to three employees and implement a daily schedule for staff to maintain all pool facilities
  • Order and maintain all chemicals and equipment needed for pools and perform general maintenance on pool equipment
  • Maintain and keep to MSDS compliance
  • Be prepared for catastrophic weather conditions and have a plan in place in the event of catastrophic weather
  • Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
  • Record and bill orders accurately into the register system and process payments using guest/member cards in accordance with accounting procedures
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability
  • If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
  • Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
