FT Baker/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Cashier to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a flair for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts while adhering to food safety standards. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers with visually appealing and flavorful products.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a variety of items including breads, cakes, pastries, and other desserts.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
• Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new flavors and techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus or special event offerings.
• Package finished products for display or catering orders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly in baking and pastry arts.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail, especially in cake decorating and presentation.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
• A passion for baking and commitment to producing high-quality products.
