Join our logistics team as a Picker/Packer in Columbus, Ohio! We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment efficiently and correctly. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess strong organizational skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will use RF scanners and follow established procedures to achieve daily targets, contributing directly to our supply chain excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect items for accuracy and damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to warehouse standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear all mandated PPE, such as safety vests, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Operate pallet jacks and other relevant equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing goals.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Follow all instructions and guidance from supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the overall success of our logistics and fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including potential overtime or weekends.
- Comfortable using RF scanners and basic warehouse technology.
- Understanding of general warehouse logistics procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of required PPE.
