Join our growing logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Material Handler! We need reliable individuals to assist in the movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth flow of operations, from receiving to dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and stack inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, to prevent accidents.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and support logistics needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of using PPE.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to company policies.
- Familiarity with basic logistics principles is beneficial.
