Are you a proactive individual with a knack for organization? Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately recorded, inspected, and processed promptly. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries, playing a key role in the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming deliveries from various carriers.
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage and tracking.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to suppliers and internal departments.
- Maintain organized receiving and staging areas.
- Adhere to strict Safety procedures and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.
- Must be capable of performing significant Lifting of boxes and materials, often up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to handle constant Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
