We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that materials are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately to support our logistics operations. This includes operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to all safety protocols. The Material Handler is crucial for the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. A proactive approach and attention to detail are key.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and cycle counting.
- Ensure materials are properly identified, tagged, and stored.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Inspect equipment regularly for defects and report any issues.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed to support logistics operations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Must be capable of frequent and significant Lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, forklift operator, or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
