We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the correct products are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment, contributing directly to our operational success and customer satisfaction. This is a critical position within our warehouse operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain an organized and productive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and efficient logistics.
- Properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and best practices in logistics.
