Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Dallas, Texas. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and minimize loss. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and improve accuracy.
  • Track and manage stock levels, ensuring adequate supply while minimizing excess.
  • Process inventory adjustments and transfers within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse areas to ensure proper storage and organization.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Train other staff members on inventory control best practices.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and turns.
  • Adhere to all Safety protocols and ensure proper handling of materials, including any necessary Lifting.
  • Utilize PPE as required by the specific task or area.
  • Contribute to process improvements for inventory management.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or Logistics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting. Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures. Strong understanding of Safety regulations. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is advantageous.
