Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory between different warehouse areas.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and inventory movements.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to ensure operational efficiency.
- Keep the warehouse clean and free from hazards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with extensive experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks of up to 40 pounds.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- High level of responsibility and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
