Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include performing regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and ensuring that inventory records are up-to-date and precise. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will collaborate closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to optimize inventory processes and minimize losses. Ensuring proper stock levels and preventing stock-outs or overstock situations are key objectives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems. Familiarity with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to strict safety protocols are paramount. This position involves regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs and requires physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, and bending. Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
