We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. This position requires a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and a strong commitment to Safety and accuracy. You will be essential in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring efficient operations. We value precision and dedication in our team members. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure accurate receiving and put-away of all incoming stock.
- Manage stock rotation and monitor expiration dates where applicable.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and other key metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 35 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
