We are actively recruiting for a diligent Material Handler to join our robust logistics operations in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes receiving, stocking, and distributing inventory to support production and shipping demands. Your role is fundamental to maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Stock shelves and storage locations accurately.
- Pick and deliver materials to various departments as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly utilize all required PPE.
- Dispose of waste and debris according to guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper wear of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
- Reliability and punctuality are key.
