Our logistics hub in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a reliable and diligent Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth flow of goods into our facility by accurately unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries for any damage or discrepancies, and meticulously verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests. Your precision will be key to maintaining accurate inventory records and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A foundational understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control is highly advantageous. We foster a culture of safety, and all team members are required to comply with safety regulations, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves considerable physical work, including frequent Lifting of packages and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Visually inspect all incoming shipments for damage or shortages.
- Cross-reference received items with purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately input receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors immediately.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving dock area.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform necessary manual Lifting to handle incoming goods.
