We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is central to our **logistics** operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and **safely**. You will be responsible for coordinating and preparing shipments, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders and packing slips.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate shipping software and related equipment.
- Ensure packages are properly packaged, labeled, and palletized for transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, prioritizing **safety**.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving of packages as needed.
- Follow all **safety** regulations and wear required **PPE**.
- Maintain daily shipping logs and assist with inventory tracking as part of our **logistics** process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar **logistics** role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and adherence to **PPE** guidelines.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring **Lifting** up to 30 lbs.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
