Job Summary:
Are you a proactive individual with experience in material handling? We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our Columbus, Ohio distribution center. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics network. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the facility.
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming materials, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including staging, wrapping, and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of obstructions to maintain Safety.
  • Adhere to all company Safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all tasks.
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure timely material flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role involving heavy equipment operation.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting of materials up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
  • Experience in a logistics or manufacturing setting is a plus.
