We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial to our overall operations, ensuring timely distribution and accurate inventory management. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load and unload goods, move inventory between storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent damage to products and ensure the integrity of our inventory. You will also be expected to perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is non-negotiable. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with other team members. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. We value individuals who are reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining a high level of productivity and safety. Responsibilities include: Operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials; Stacking and unstacking goods; Performing daily pre-operation checks on forklifts; Maintaining a clean and organized work area; Adhering to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE; Assisting with inventory counts and checks; Contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity. This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Move inventory to designated storage locations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification or demonstrable experience.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a logistics setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
