Join our Detroit, Michigan team as an Order Picker! We're looking for motivated individuals to help us efficiently process and prepare customer orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring accuracy, speed, and a commitment to safety. You'll be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, ensuring that the right products get to the right customers on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Safely package items for shipment, protecting them from damage.
- Stage orders for loading and outgoing transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to established protocols.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking goals.
- Perform other warehouse support tasks as needed to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehouse work, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
