We are looking for a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. This position is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, moving inventory, and ensuring that materials are organized and readily available for production or shipping. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklifts or other warehouse machinery and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Safety is paramount in this role; you will be required to follow all safety protocols rigorously and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing. If you are safety-conscious, possess strong organizational skills, and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment, we encourage you to apply. - Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Moving and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Performing routine checks and maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Ensuring accurate receiving and put-away of materials.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts.
