You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and ensuring packages are correctly labeled and processed. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We prioritize safety above all else, and you will be expected to follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. The job involves regular lifting and moving of packages. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of shipping procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with shipping software and a commitment to teamwork are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipping orders against packed items and documentation.
- Create shipping labels and prepare necessary paperwork (bills of lading, etc.).
- Schedule and coordinate with various shipping carriers.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking shipments.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing the appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient work environment.
