We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, playing a vital part in our overall logistics and supply chain management. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and conducting root cause analysis.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify low stock or overstock situations, reporting findings to management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Track and manage returns, damaged goods, and warehouse adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Generate inventory reports and provide analysis to management on a regular basis.
- Assist in the training of other warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
