We are recruiting for a diligent Material Handler to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team. In this role, you will be crucial in facilitating the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking items for orders, and preparing them for shipment. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong focus on safety. You will be an integral part of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Sort, label, and store materials in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements or internal requests.
- Pack items securely for transit, ensuring product integrity.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and inventory management.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a logistics setting.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
