We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is critical to the efficient flow of materials within our facility, ensuring that inventory is moved, organized, and accessible for all operations. You will be responsible for handling a variety of materials, operating equipment, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Your contribution is vital to our overall logistics success. We are committed to workplace Safety and require all employees to follow established protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position offers a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Inspect materials for damage and ensure proper inventory counts.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established standards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks requiring manual Lifting of materials up to 60 lbs.
- Support the broader logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Committed to adhering to all Safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
