We are seeking a meticulous Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and precision are key to our operational success. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that orders are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment in a timely manner, playing a crucial part in our logistics chain. A strong commitment to Safety and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This position offers a steady wage and the opportunity to be part of a reliable and productive warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists or use scanning equipment to accurately identify items needed for orders.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or out-of-stock items to supervisors.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Must be capable of performing frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and workflow.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting as needed.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to comply with all Safety regulations and wear assigned PPE.
