As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring that products are moved efficiently and safely from receiving to storage and ultimately to shipping. This role requires physical stamina, an understanding of warehouse logistics, and a keen eye for detail to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent damage. Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Conduct regular checks of materials and inventory levels.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents.
- Assist with the packing and kitting of orders as needed.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work diligently.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
- Attention to detail in handling and moving materials.
