We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our busy distribution center in Portland, Oregon. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our logistics facility. Your expertise in operating forklifts will ensure that materials are safely and accurately transported, stacked, and retrieved, supporting seamless warehouse operations. Safety is paramount in our operations, and we provide comprehensive training and expect strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators to contribute to a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in safe working condition, reporting any issues.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Verify counts and accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Adherence to all safety standards and the use of required PPE.
